About Adam
Adam Stone has spent more than 20 years helping students worldwide achieve their academic goals. While studying at Stanford University, Adam discovered a love for teaching and working with students one on one to help connect their natural abilities and understanding to the material at hand. After graduating in 2002, he took that targeted approach into the world of test prep.
Adam began work with the Princeton Review, teaching and tutoring students for the SAT, ACT, LSAT, GMAT, GRE, and Subject Tests. While with the company, he helped write materials for practice tests, giving him a better understanding of how exams are constructed to maintain objectivity and standardization. He also worked with school districts to help bridge the gap between classroom learning and California state standards.
Over time, Adam developed his own philosophy and methods, rooted in the Socratic method, which help students to understand the way they think, guiding them toward understanding of what standardized testing is, why it seems so unfamiliar, and how it can be connected to content and concepts that students are familiar with. Since 2010, he has taken a personalized and individualized approach to each student, whether high school or undergraduate, and has helped hundreds of students achieve their goals.
In addition to working with students, Adam is a writer and has spent the last decade coaching youth soccer and volunteering with his local AYSO region. He lives with his wife and two children in Los Angeles.
